Family possession and bequeathed by his great-granddaughter Miss Mabel Herring 1972, together with a watercolour drawing of his first wife, Ann Harris, by Edward Heaton, signed and dated Doncaster May 1825. Vignette versions of both were photographed by H. G. Cocking of Queen's Road Peckham for cartes-de-visite.
