Inscribed on the back of an early photograph of this plaque (donor's collection), in Horne's hand, was the following note: 'R. H. Horne/From a Medallion/by Charles Summer [sic]/(in Australia 1867)/now in Rome 1877'. Another cast is at Keats House, Hampstead.
