Royal Scottish Academy 1840 (367) and 1849 (605) - 'that of Lord Jeffrey an almost speaking embodiment of mental elevation dignity and firmness pronounced with wondrous truth' (The Scotsman, 17 February 1849); another, possibly the plaster version in Scottish NPG (608) was exhibited RSA 1850 (482) - 'modelled from Bust executed in 1840'.
