These 'camera lucida' drawings apparently relate to the marble bust of Melbourne by Chantrey of 1841, now at Windsor Castle. Chantrey executed another bust of Melbourne in 1828 (private collection), and there is an undated plaster bust at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

The artist, presented by the wife of one of his executors, Mrs George Jones, 1871.
