Olivieri who flourished in Lambeth and Soho 1820-35 may have been the 'Sculptor of inferior merit' employed by Nollekens as an assistant with Gahagan and Goblet (J. T. Smith, Nollekens and his Times, 1920 edn., I, p 371). Another copy at Arniston is incised: D. A. Olivieri/1821/copio and another was at Sotheby's 15 February 1980 (116).
