Accepted with a bust of the Duchess of Sutherland (NPG 808), both busts described as original plaster models by the donor (letter of 19 July 1888, NPG archives). A marble version of the NPG type is in the collection of Mrs M. Kershaw, and another dated 1873 is in the Townley Hall Art Gallery, Burnley; one of the two presumably that exhibited RA, 1875 (1394).
