Another version, possibly the original exhibited RA 1807 (823), is in a private collection Edinburgh. They may be ad vivum portraits though they certainly bear a close resemblance to Edridge's drawing engraved by Ridley and published 1802.

Head and shoulders in black coat and waistcoat, white neckcloth and cravat; black hair and eyebrows, brown eyes, fresh complexion; plain drab background.
