A profile to left, wearing the same caped coat and holding a paper, is still at Chevening inscribed on the back: Painted by Ozias Humphry at Chevening House in Augt 1795 and on a paper label: from The Old Manor House, West Coker Somerset June 20th 1901.

Head and shoulders in brown overcoat with cape collar, white neckcloth and shirt-frill; bald head with sparse brown hair at sides, blue eyes, pale complexion; deep blue curtain background with stone strip to left.
