The donor also owned a bust of Wakefield, reproduced A. J. Harrop, The Amazing Career of Edward Gibbon Wakefield (1928), frontispiece, perhaps the bust by Park. Mrs Storr's relationship to the sitter is not known, but there is no reason to doubt the identification (comparison with later portraits is almost conclusive). The date is based on costume and the apparent age of the sitter.

Healthy complexion, brown eyes, brown hair and whiskers. Dressed in a white stock, white shirt, yellow waistcoat and blue coat. Background colour greenish-grey.
