The Kit-Cat Club portrait. The head alone has claims to be by Kneller, but the face is quite heavily outlined. Left unfinished, as engraved by Faber in 1735, and perhaps painted in the year of the sitter’s death. Displayed with the other kit-cat portraits in 1735 indicating it had then been ‘completed’ probably that year by another hand.
