Signed and dated twice, 1814 on the sash, 1815 lower left. Beresford wears the uniform of a marshal of the Portuguese army with the Collar of Honour and Peninsula Gold Cross, and the Stars and Ribbons of a Knight of the Bath and of the Portuguese Order of the Tower and Sword.
