Sir Thomas More's Utopia is published in Louvain, Flanders. The book takes the form of a humanist discussion on systems of government. While the vices of contemporary European society are broadly satirised, it is conceded that a more egalitarian civilisation can only be found in the land of Utopia, Greek for 'Nowhere'.
