This photograph appears to have been taken several years earlier than the others, when Ofori Atta was younger (and slimmer), possibly even before he was nominated to the Legislative Council (not Executive Council, which comprised solely British colonial officials) of Gold Coast in 1916. The 'others' surrounding him could probably be described as his entourage. It may have been taken sometime after his accession as Omanhene (ruler) of Akim (or Akyem) Abuakwa in Eastern Province in 1912.
