CHRIS SMITH

The Rt. Hon. Lord Smith of Finsbury was a Labour MP from 1983 to 2005 and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport from 1997 to 2001. Smith is currently Chairman of the Environment Agency and the Advertising Standards Authority, the Wordsworth Trust and the Donmar Warehouse Theatre. He is also Honorary Fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge, and Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts London. Smith was Britain’s first openly gay MP.
