In this image are my 6-year-old Teo and his dad, mid-haircut, at home in Bristol. I loved watching as Saul gently shaved the sides of his hair, my son, fingers still with nail polish on from other adventures. My kid was a little fragile and scared of the little hairs and the machine... but the connection is tender and strong. Such a small moment with big meaning and emotion. For me, as a mother and artist, photography has been a friend and saviour, helping me create, document and digest in these challenging times. I'm grateful for that. All is love 2020.
