6-8 years: Medals
David Weir has won 6 Paralympic gold medals!
Design your own medal. Who would you give your medal to? A sporting hero? Someone who has helped you or others?
You will need: a cup or round object, cardboard, pencil, scissors, a hole punch, felt tips or sharpies, gold spray paint or metallic markers, ribbon or string.
Instructions
1. Place a round object, e.g. a cup on a piece of cardboard. Draw around it to create a circle.
2. Cut out and punch a hole at the top.
3. Spray paint or colour your medal (or stick kitchen foil to it).
4. Create a design on your medal with pens.
5. Thread the string or ribbon through the hole and tie.
Now present your medal to someone special!
