12years +: Commemorate THIS!

Mary’s statue was the first and (at the time of writing) is still the only permanent statue in the UK of a named black woman. Research the life of one of these famous black women who achieved great things, or pick someone you know, and design a statue to celebrate them. What pose could you draw them in to tell us about what they achieved? Should it include writing? Which material should it be made out of? How big should it be? Fold your design so that it stands up like a statue.
