Visitors' Choice

Every year the BP Portrait Award Visitors’ Choice offers exhibition visitors the opportunity to vote for their favourite portrait in the show. This year 10,539 votes were cast between 5 May and 23 August via the online exhibitors page.

The overall winner was Portrait of Fatima by Jamie Coreth, which received 1,181 votes. In second place was Portrait of Mid-shift by Thomas Leveritt (852 votes) and the third was Kitty, the Teenage Baker by Mark Draisey (589 votes). All portraits were voted for at least once.

Everyone who voted in the Visitors Choice has the chance to win a Rembrandt Excellent Oil Colour Box Set worth £995 and there will be three runners-up prizes of an Artists’ Oil Colour Bamboo Box Sets worth £100. Winners of the prize draw will be contacted by 28 September.
