Professor Eileen Hogan is an established portrait
artist who studied at the Royal College of Art.
Her most recent exhibitions have been at Roche
Court, Wiltshire; Yale Center for British Art, New
Haven and Browse & Darby, London. Her work
has been seen in group exhibitions including the
Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (from 1974
to 2013) and the BP Portrait Award in 2007, 2009
2012 and 2014.
Since 2013 Hogan has used a studio that
belonged to Leonard Rosoman. Hogan says:
‘He used a mirror on a hinge to gain a different
perspective on his paintings, and I kept getting
glimpses of myself at work. I came upon this
image of myself by gradual, stealthy approach.’
