Tudor Miniatures

From 6 November 2004
Room 3 - Tudor Galleries
Admission free

New displays in the miniatures gallery include early coins and medals on loan from the British Museum and a range of miniatures and larger scale cabinet portraits from the Gallery's collections. To improve access to this unique but fragile material, more of the collection is on display on a rotating basis. An Elizabethan face pattern is used to explore the question of how Tudor portraits were created and produced.
