Joseph Joachim
by Sir Leslie Ward
published in Vanity Fair 5 January 1905

The connection:
The artist Lord Leighton’s studio in Holland Park was designed for the creation of art and the performance music; it was here that Leighton’s friend, the violinist Joseph Joachim, often played music by J.S. Bach.
