Artist Donald Urquhart leads a one-day masterclass. Beginning with a visit to Michael Jackson: On the Wall, Donald will then explain his approach to making his Michael Jackson alphabet and discuss methods of scaling up text pieces and sketches, with a view to transferring them to large canvasses or mural works using traditional and unconventional methods. There will then follow a practical session covering various methods of copying and scaling up artwork, from using projectors and photocopiers to simple tracing paper and pencil. He will also demonstrate using brush and ink, which he prefers to pen. Open to all abilities, materials provided.
