This is a workshop for those interested in pursuing a painterly approach to portraiture and is led by exhibiting artist Sarah Jane Moon. Taking inspiration from the BP Portrait Award 2019 exhibition, participants will begin to investigate narrative, composition, colour and mark making in a dynamic and expressive way. Day one will focus on the production of quick expressive studies allowing an investigation of mark making and composition. Day two will further explore the use of colour and narrative to begin to build more complete portraits. Suitable for all abilities, all materials are provided.
