To celebrate the opening of The Time is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure, join Tone for a DJ set in the Main Hall.

Tone is a London-based DJ and presenter of Diaspora Distins, formerly on Worldwide FM, and recently launched B2B sessions Shades of Tone.

She has played for the likes of All Points East, Afropunk LDN, No Signal, Mothaland, Rampage, Serpentine Pavilion, Tate, V&A and opened for the likes of Kokoroko, Yazmin Lacey, Ragz Originale and Superjazzclub. Her selections span across alternative sounds of motherland, the global black diaspora and soulful, percussive sounds in the pockets that fall in between.

Additional activities on the night will include a night-life photography workshop by Eddie Otchere; a performance by sound and visual artist, Damsel Elysium; and a screening of Rosa-Johan Uddoh's film Black Poirot in our Lecture theatre.
