American photographer Todd Hido speaks to Phillip Prodger, Head of Photographs, National Portrait Gallery, about previously unseen prints from a new body of work that are on display as part of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2017. Todd Hido is the third In Focus artist, selected by National Portrait Gallery curators, an annual showcase for new work by an internationally renowned photographer, exhibited alongside the photographs selected from the competition entries. Previous In Focus artists are Cristina de Middel in 2016 and Pieter Hugo in 2015.
