Sam chose the portrait of Mohammed Ali because of his own love of boxing. He has created a lifetime achievement award to celebrate Ali's successes in the ring, and reaffirm his status as the greatest boxer of all time. The trophy is based on a pair of Ali's boxing gloves from his heyday as a fighter.
Muhammad Ali is considered to be the greatest boxer of all time. He was born in Kentucky as Cassius Clay but changed his name when he converted to Islam later in life. He learnt to box as a teenager and carved a niche for himself as a professional. He was renowned for the 'Ali Shuffle', a foot manoeuvre designed to outwit his opponents. He went on to win the world heavyweight championship three times.
