Self Portrait UK is a unique participatory event, taking place online, on television, in Gallery's, museums, public sites and schools across the UK. Since Summer 2002 people of all ages - from school children to artists and celebrities - have been taking part by presenting themselves as they want to be seen. This exhibition celebrates the vitality, individuality and diversity of these self portraits and includes a small selection of self portraits from the National Portrait Galleries collection.
Self Portrait UK is a Media 19 initiative produced in partnership with Channel 4, the National Portrait Gallery and Northern Arts.
