Join us as figurative artist Sophie de Stempel leads this month’s life-drawing session, inspired by our current exhibition David Hockney: Drawing from Life. With a thematic focus on describing the sitter, this workshop will be inspired by Hockney’s faithful rendering of individuals. All materials will be provided.

Suitable for all abilities. Maximum participants 60. Please note tickets do not include entry to the exhibition.

Please note young people are welcome to attend this workshop but you must be aged 16+ and have parental consent to attend.

Sophie de Stempel studied painting at the City and Guild School of Art followed by eight years working for Lucian Freud. She has exhibited at the Albemarle Gallery with Pippa Houldsworth and also Browse and Darby. She has been in mixed shows curated at the Sigmund Freud Museum. She works from life, drawings and memory, often all in one picture to try and bring about something imaginative and surprising.
