Tony Noble studied fine art at Loughborough College of Art. His work was selected for The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition (2009, 2010) and was seen in the exhibitions of the Royal Society of Portriat Painters in 2010 and 2011. Noble was previously included in the BP Portrait Award in 2008 and 2010.

These sixteen portraits are the result of a project to depict a diverse group of individuals who share a common interest. Noble contacted the gun club that met near his home through Google. Although they were initially reticent, he found them to be encouraging, supportive and visually very interesting.
