Poet and novelist. Foulds’s narrative poem The Broken Word (2008) won the Costa Book award for poetry and the Somerset Maugham Award. Foulds became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2010 and his novel The Quickening Maze (2009) won the Walter Scott Prize in the same year.
