Tereza Červeňová is a Slovakian photographer currently living and working in London. She first moved to the city four years ago to study Photography at Middlesex University. Her work now focuses on portraiture and fine art photography. Her winning portrait is of a friend and was taken the day before they attended a wedding at Veluwe National Park in Holland.
The John Kobal New Work Award is awarded to a photographer under the age of 30 selected for the exhibition. The winning photographer will receive a cash prize of £5,000 to include undertaking a commission from the Gallery to photograph a sitter connected with the UK film industry. The Award was judged by Simon Crocker, Chairman of the John Kobal Foundation.
