This year, the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize is again accompanied by the People’s Pick, allowing exhibition visitors the opportunity to vote for their favourite portrait in the show.

This year 6,529 votes were cast between 16 November 2017 and 1 February 2018. The overall winner was Fleeing Mosul from the series Women in War: Life After ISIS by Abbie Trayler-Smith, which received 793 votes. In second place was Embrace from the series Masculine by Baud Postma (614 votes) and, in third place, Kijini Primary School students learn to float, swim, and perform rescues in the Indian Ocean off of Mnyuni, Zanzibar by Anna Boyiazis (338 votes).

The public vote is now closed, but visitors to the exhibition are still able to register their choice and enter our prize draw to win a Sony camera and Afternoon Tea for Two in the Portrait Restaurant.

One winner will receive a Sony RX100 IV camera, worth £729. This large sensor compact camera delivers thrilling, fast-action images captured without distortion, even in 4K quality.

The winner will also be able to enjoy Afternoon Tea for Two in the Portrait Restaurant. The set tea menu features a generous range of savouries, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, and seasonally changing fancies crafted by our pastry chefs. Afternoon Tea is served daily between 15.30 and 16.45.

You can enter the draw using the digital screen inside the exhibition. All entries received before Sunday 8 February 2018 are valid for the prize draw. Entry is limited to one per person.
