Vorticism vs Bloomsbury
Tickets: £45/£35 concessions (includes wine reception and entry to the exhibition)

Wyndham Lewis, the Vorticists and the Bloomsbury circle shared a common aim to pioneer a British response to Modernism and they worked in collaboration until a very public row in 1914. Richard Cork, Paul Edwards and Frances Spalding are among the speakers who will explore the rift and its consequences.

Portrait Techniques: Painting
Tickets: £45/£35 concessions (entrance to the exhibition included)

A one-day or two-evening workshop exploring the techniques of Wyndham Lewis’ portraits, led by artist Jane Elliott. Participants will develop drawings and paintings using the visual language of Vorticism, Cubism and Futurism.

Sunday Session - Stylised Portraits

Inspired by the exhibition, work from your own photograph of a person to produce an angular drawing concentrating on line, shading, diagonals and curves. Leading on to creating a stylised painted portrait, this drawing and painting workshop is led by artist Sadie Lee.
