Painter and horticulturalist. After extensive studies abroad, Morris developed a distinctive, often rather primitive post-Impressionist style for portraits, landscapes and highly decorative still-life of birds and flowers. With Lett Haines, he ran his own art school in Hadleigh, Suffolk where his garden was much admired.
